Third Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
My oldest is now 3!!!  Hard to believe and exciting!  His birthday wish list included: a cake, a candle, balloons, a big bus, and a car.  So I got to work!!
A few days before his birthday we went with his friend Brady (and his sister Abby and his Mom) to the indoor Island Playground.

That evening we went to the Shannon Tanner show at Shelter Cove Marina where the kids could sing and dance.  And dancing they did!!

Then we had ice cream cake at Ritters.  We made it inside just before the down pour.  The cake was great and I think everyone enjoyed themselves.  See for yourself:
What I love about this video is everyone in the store sang happy birthday to Ty.  There was standing room only!!

Jeremy cut the ice cream cake (which was solid) and got ice cream all over his shirt (front and back).  But everyone got a piece.  The only messy people were he and Ty!!  After the cake the sugar high started immediately.

Ty even got spoiled at Mothers Morning Out the day before his birthday.  We took cupcakes for everyone to enjoy and he got a birthday hat which he wore all day.  Most of the time backwards.

Here's Ty with the best smile he could come up with standing next to his flowers.  These are flowers for the Church in honor of his third birthday.

The day of his birthday was so very fun.  He woke up to birthday banners and balloons.

Then we opened presents!!  His Uncle Clarke came over with a car load of presents too!!  Ty and Eli both love their Uncle Clarke!!

Ty got another opportunity to blow out candles.  We had a mini birthday celebration with Clarke and cupcakes (everyone ate one except Clarke who had TWO).

After our birthday lunch (French Bakery) Jeremy took the birthday boy fishing.  It was the first time Ty has ever fished and you won't believe how well he did!!  But first, he learned how to catch the bait.

Of the 12 minnows, Ty freed 11 of them!!

Then he learned how to cast and reel the line in.  Pretty good for a first timer!!

Kissing the bait is not part of fishing, JEREMY!!!  Quick!  Where's the antibacterial soap??

Now this is fishing!!!  Who can believe that Ty's first time out fishing he could catch such a big Red Fish??  Way to go!!  He caught this fish with the one remaining minnow too.

What a birthday!  How do you feel after all that fun and excitement, Ty?

PERFECT!!

Ty received books, games, trucks, an assortment of different toys, fishing pole, and more.  So, how did I do on his wish list?
