Sandbox August 2007

I took the kids to The Sandbox, an interactive children's museum here on Hilton Head Island. We went with our friends Amy, Owen, and Lucy Shell and Leslie, Neely, and Eliza Albert. What a morning!! Tough work keeping up with two kids each but it was a great way to entertain the kids and ourselves for a morning.

Here are the Shell's.

Eli is crawling up the slide and Eliza is heading towards the tunnel.

Eliza made it through the tunnel!

Here's Ty with a car and Neely guarding her blocks.

Ty's going to head through the tunnel too (with his red car which Owen would like to play with).

Eli discovered himself on a bubble mirror wall. He was so excited to see himself he kept rocking forward and bumping his head on the mirror. He didn't mind.

Ty is trying hard to talk the pilot into letting him wear the hat and fly the plane. He was unsuccessful.

Ty's in the construction zone working on the light switches and wearing his hard hat.

We found the sand and worked on a sandcastle.

Ty discovered the pirate treasure chest.

Owen found gold coins and a few gold chains.

Eli discovered a wall.

Neely is fishing for some crab.

Is he looking through those correctly??

Ty's a mardi-gras pirate!

Owen's a pretty good pirate too!

Eli and Eliza are playing with blocks and pipes.

Lucy found some boots and other pirate loot.

Finally, Ty is working his magic in the kitchen (or flirting with some girls).

We had a great morning of fun and can't wait to go back soon.
